AI adoption, discussed at board level.

A publishing company wanted to discuss how AI might fit into its workflow. I met the board to hear their thinking and explore the questions behind it.

Understanding the board’s thinking

The conversation began with the board’s own views: what interested them about AI, where they had reservations and what they wanted to understand before considering adoption.

Considering the workflow

We discussed AI in the context of the company’s work. The purpose was to examine where it might be relevant, what would need closer consideration and where professional judgement should remain central.

Allowing time for discussion

This was an exploratory meeting. It gave the board space to consider different views and ask questions, without committing to a particular tool or course of action.
